On 12th June 2023, the WIRCON team from Saarbrücken offered the public, local politicians and investors an insight into how the solar park in Diesen-Porcelette works.

The visitors learned that the solar park, commissioned in 2021, amply covered the consumption of 8,854 households in 2022 alone, saving more than 10,000 tonnes of CO₂.

During the tour, hundreds of tadpoles and small green toads could be seen in the park’s ponds. This endangered species is strictly protected in France. The ecologist accompanying the tour was delighted with the success of the ecological measures.

The event was part of the initiative “Renewable Energy Open Days in the Grand Est Region”.
